Hydrographic Survey Studies
A closer study of the marine regions, conditions and destination systems surrounding a dive.
Introduction
Hydrographic Survey Studies look at the environment around a dive, not just the dive site itself.
Each study covers the geography, hydrography, bathymetry, environmental conditions, maritime history, regional hazards and logistics of a defined marine area.
The work may support private mentorship, destination preparation, portal assignments or independent study.
What each study examines
Geography & Bathymetry
Shelves, banks, trenches, passages, channels and island systems.
Hydrography
Currents, water movement, exposure, seasonal patterns and changing regional conditions.
Environment
Reef systems, walls, wreck corridors, blue-water environments, visibility and seasonal conditions.
Maritime History
Trade routes, wrecks, maritime activity and the diving history of the region.
Risk & Preparation
Environmental hazards, remoteness, access, logistics and what the destination requires from the diver.
Destination Systems
How islands, ports and dive regions connect to the larger marine environment.
The Hydrographic Survey Series
The Hydrographic Survey Series organizes this regional work into individual volumes.
Each volume focuses on a defined marine environment and uses coordinates, regional divisions and destination names to give the study its own visual identity.

Vol. 1: The Lucayan Shelf
Bahamas & Turks and Caicos
Atlantic Oceanic Division
A study of the shallow banks, channels, island systems, blue holes, maritime history and diving conditions across the Lucayan Archipelago.

Vol. 2: The Cayman Trench
Greater Antilles
Caribbean Navigational Sector
A study of extreme depth, tectonic geography, deep-water influence, wall systems and the conditions surrounding the Cayman Islands.
Study With Purpose
Survey volumes may be used in private mentorship, destination preparation, portal assignments or independent regional study.
They do not replace local instruction, professional guidance or current operational information. Their purpose is to help experienced divers understand more of the environment, history and systems surrounding a destination.
Regional Knowledge. Deliberate Preparation.
Scuba Dojo Survey Studies are for divers who want to understand more than where they are going.
They are for those who want to know what they are entering.
